We recognize that the crisis of capitalism is deep and wide. The deepening crisis of capitalism strangles our life through imperialist war, catastrophic climate disaster, enlargement of unemployment and irregular work, inflation, and increasing oppression of women and hatred against minorities.

 

We recognize that a Socialist Revolution is not something coming someday in the long future but today's task. Fascism is raving; Liberalism has regressed; Social Democracy that subsisted through arbitrating workers and capitalists has collapsed. Now capitalism is the system in which any forces fail to settle the crisis and end up regressing, the system which heads to the devastating crisis of the third world war, and the system which mobilizes all reactionary instruments for its subsistence even though its historical lifespan is already ended. It is only the Socialist Revolution that gives way to sending capitalism to its grave, abolishing exploitation, and eradicating all remnants of oppression against minorities.

 

Just for that, we recognize the urgent need for a Socialist Workers Party. As a part of the working class not only in South Korea but also worldwide, we demand a Socialist Workers Party that struggles together with workers, leads the working class to state power, and eradicates all kinds of exploitation and oppression.

 

We stand here based on this recognition. We, who have fought the periods of defections and surrenders and overcome the days of liquidations and skepticism, have confidence that there is a light future in the Korean socialist movement. And we bear it in our mind that the new socialist organization should be a fundamental core for building Socialist Workers Party, not another sect.

 

So, we announce our resolution to the workers and people as below;

First, we proclaim the building of a new socialist organization, "March to Socialism."

Second, we resolve to enlarge our socialist political activities in all directions.

Third, We will go ahead toward building a real Socialist Workers Party through our activities in "March to Socialism."
