세종호텔 로비에서 2주 동안 농성을 이어가고 있다. 우리는 복직을 쟁취할 때까지 계속 싸울 것이다. 이는 단지 세종호텔 노동자들의 투쟁이 아니라, 이 잔혹한 자본주의 체제에 맞서 싸우는 모든 노동자들의 투쟁이다.

안녕하세요, 지금 저는 세종호텔에 와있습니다. 우리는 지난 협상 이후로 호텔 로비에서 2주째 농성 시위를 벌이고 있습니다. 오늘 교섭이 있었지만 사측 입장에는 변화가 없었습니다. 그래서 우리, 수백 명이 넘는 노동자와 시민들, 노조를 비롯해 정치단체, 시민단체, 종교단체 등 다양한 조직과 사회주의를향한전진을 비롯해, 여러 개인들이 모여 해고된 노동자들과 함께 여기 굳건히 서 있습니다.

현재 해고된 노동자 중 몇 명만이 남아 투쟁을 이어가고 있지만, 이는 결코 몇 명만의 싸움이 아닙니다. 세종호텔 노동자들은 항상 모든 노동자를 위해 싸워왔습니다. 경영진이 호텔에 도입하려 했던 정리해고법과 비정규직화에 맞서 싸워왔고, 여성, 성소수자, 이주노동자에 대한 모든 차별과 억압에 맞서 싸웠으며, 팔레스타인 해방의 깃발을 높이 들었습니다.

2021년 12월 해고 이후 5년 넘게 이어지고 있는 이 투쟁은 매우 중요한 정치적 의미를 지닙니다. 이 싸움에서 승리하기 위해서는 사업장의 담벼락을 넘어선 연대가 필요하며, 바로 지금 그런 일이 벌어지고 있습니다. 다양한 배경을 가진 노동자와 시민들이 착취, 차별, 억압에 맞서 싸움을 포기하지 않은 이 노동자들을 위해 힘을 모으고 있습니다.

매일 수십 명, 때로는 백 명에 이르는 사람들이 함께 농성 시위를 벌이고 있습니다. 이 투쟁은 우리가 복직을 쟁취할 때까지 결코 끝나지 않을 것입니다. 투쟁!

at the Sejong Hotel, we’re doing sit-in protest in the lobby for 2 weeks, and we will continue to fight until we win the reinstatement. It's not only a fight of a few Sejong hotel workers, but of all workers fighting against this brutal capitalist system.

Hi I’m Min and I’m here at the Sejong Hotel, we’re doing sit-in protest in the lobby of the hotel now for 2 weeks, since the previous negotiation. today, new negotiation was done but there was no difference on owners’ position, so we, more than hundreds of workers and people, from various organizations, such as Unions, political organization, civil right or religious organization, including my organization march to socialism, and all the individuals are firmly standing here together with the laid-off workers.

now among the fired workers, three of them remains and continues to fight, but it’s never a fight of the three. Sejong hotel workers, always has fought for all workers, fighting against lay-off law and irregular working system, that the owner wanted to adopt to hotel and they fought against it. and they has fought against all the discrimination and oppression on women, LGBTs, migrants, and held the flag of Free Paelstine.

this struggle, now continuing more than 5 years since the lay-off on december 2021, has really significant political meaning. for this fight to win, the solidarity beyond the borders of working places must be needed, and that’s what’s happenning right now, workers from all different background are concentrating their force for these workers, who never gave up to fight against exploitation, discrimination and oppression.

everyday more than dozens of people, many times around hundred people are doing the sit-in protest together, this fight will never end until we win the re-instatement. 투쟁!
